Our daughter Hadassah was up all night so that means I was too. She was runnign a fever of 103.4 all through the night. Would give her some "good stuff" (that's what we call it in this house) and her temp would come down to aboutb 101/102 for about an hour and then it was back up to over 103. I hope my baby feels better today. But if this continues through the day then we may be taking her to the doctor.
Irritated: OK every parent in my daycare knows that I work from 4 AM to 6:15 five days a week (getting up at 4 maybe on the weekends as well "included in those 5 days") Well, today my 4 o'clock kids mom had the day off so that meant I could sleep in... LOL (but I was up all night) I dozed off again after Brian woke me up and walked out the door. I slept for like another 20 minutes. One daycare mom is banging on the door; this wakes me up. I get to the door and say that I overslept and I am sorry but that I was up with the baby all night and she had a fever. The mom is PISSED.... It is 7:27.... WAIT... your kid isn't even supposed to arrive until somewhere between 8-9AM and then there are times that she doesn't get here to around 10 or 11... Granted for about the last week she has been here around 7-7:30 maybe I should have said something earlier. But since I have already been up at 4 I don't think too much about it. Meanwhile, last night and tonight... I have one kid till 11:30 PM So if I don't have to get up and 4 or even 6 then I am not going too. I think I am going to tell this mom what her contract says and say that if she need the hours changed on a consistent basis to an earlier time then there is going to be an increase in her rate. Because she may not know what time any other child arrives, but that if I know I have a child not coming/coming later than normal than I take that time to sleep in. I already know that my "normal" 7:15 child wasn't coming till 8AM.
That is all!!!
Firstly, I hope Hadassah is feeling much better today! Poor girl. Secondly, I can't believe that mom! How rude. She should've at least called you or let you know that her child will be showing up earlier for a week or so. I'd definitely go over her contract with her.
