... and I am the "head mama in charge." Ok a little background about who I am, what I do, and what I am hoping to accomplish.
I was born November 15th, 1978 in Gregory, TX. I have three sisters, and one brother and they are all younger than me. I have lived everywhere or so it seems. TX, SC, TN, China, TN and currently reside back in SC. No my parents weren't service men/woman. My dad worked a while in TX before I was born, by age 2 we were living in SC (not far from his parents. Then we moved to TN (close to the Mississippi line) near my mom's family. Then when I was almost 9 (a couple of months before) we moved to China in 1989. My parents were missionaries, but had to go in as English teachers. We left China in 1992 and moved back to TN. By the way, I loved my time in China and would love to move back or at least somewhere overseas so that my girls get the chance to experiance a different culture. We lived from '92 to April of '99 in TN, before moving back to SC because of my grandparents failing health (my moms parents had already passed away) Both of my grandparents passed away 5 years ago this coming May. She died on the 17th, he died on the 21st, just four days later. They were very close and truly loved each other.
In the fall of '99 I met Brian, who then became my husband in April 2003. He is a teacher and works part time at Walmart. I am an in home childcare provider and love what I do. I was providing care for children before I every got pregnant the first time around. (2003) Having children was always a dream of ours and after six miscarriages (pregnancy 2 was with twins) with thought that dream may never be granted by God through a biological child. In August of 2007 we had requested paperwork through DSS (Department of Social Services) in SC to adopt a child or sibling group through the State of South Carolina. About two weeks before finishing the paperwork up in September, I had gotten extremely sick. Couldn't keep water down, would lay down on the couch and when I got up had to vomit like crazy. I never even thought I was pregnant. My other six pregnancy never had caused me any early sign discomfort. My sister in law suggested I take a pregnancy test after about a week of not keep food down or even water for that matter. I was always really cold; I thought it was the Flu.. I had never had the flu before. Nope, I was pregnant and gave birth to my daughter, Abigail on May 21st, 2008 (3 years to the date of my grandfather's death). We found out 2 days after she turned 11 months old that we were expecting another. Not planned, but always wanted. I was never sick with her. I was scared that at any moment I would micarry. (since the pregnancy was so much like the first six). I am so happy that God blessed me with yet another healthy daughter born on December 30, 2009.
I hope to accomplish being the best wife, mom, and childcare provider that anyone could hope to me. One other thing I want to accomplish is to loose 70 pounds. I am proud to say that I have lost 6.5 since January 3rd, 2011. I ahve a wonderful group of ladies that I do this with. We are all there to support each other.
In closing, you should know that I am a Christian-Catholic. I love my family, pretty conservative and we attend church weekly unless someone is really sick. That is my life is a very small nutshell. (like a sunflower shell)
I love learning more about you, Han! I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles with having a healthy baby, but you have got two gorgeous girls! You are an amazing lady. :]
